Medium: acrylic on silver panel Size: 24 x 36 This is a unique etching style I created on a very flat shiny surface. I covered the panel with paint and once it dried, etched into the surface cutting away the paint and allowing the bright background to show through. I’ve always been fascinated with William Hogarth’s etchings. Even though his were the traditional forms, I love to evolve his style in a more modern version. I’ve noticed that his attention to detail is what makes etching so successful. I do my best to honor the details to create a visually stimulating effect, much like the masters of the past.
