Medium: Wood on rice paper Size: 7 panels with wooden wheels spanning a large waiting area wall This is one of the 20 pieces of custom art placed in the Bayside Dental office in Rowlett, Tx. This installation was commissioned by Brad Boeke, DDS and his lovely wife, Carolyn. This particular piece is in on the wall behind the front desk and spans the majority of the space. There are 5 wood panels connected together by custom cut wooden wheels that I had made specifically for the art. I painted them to look like rusty wheels and people are surprised when they find out that they are not metal. Carolyn loves how this piece captivates her imagination of the 'wheels in motion' of the office. I used rice paper and wood wheels painted with acrylic for this specific wall sculpture. We came up with a theme of 'Rustic Glam' specifically to create unity and a cohesiveness in the high end dental office.
